This full day conference for primary teachers will examine strategies to engage students with reading and techniques to maintain the reading habit. Keynote speakers include Francesca Simon, author of the popular and engaging Horrid Henry books and Guardian Children's Books Editor, Julia Eccleshare. There will also sessions from the Poetry Society on how to engage children with poetry through reading and performance and a Guardian writer on the creative process as well as workshops in sharing good practice.
