*FULLY BOOKED*

We are delighted to give you advance notice of the next Newsroom teachers' conference in our Reading for Pleasure series on Wednesday 2 July, 2008 from 09:30am-3:30pm at The Newsroom, 60 Farringdon Road, London, EC1R 3GA

The acclaimed poet Roger McGough will be our keynote speaker. Guardian Literary Editor Claire Armitstead will discuss the contemporary poetry landscape and a poetry CD and Guardian materials will be provided free to delegates. A school, which has made poetry popular, will demonstrate how it is done and workshops will enable teachers to learn professional techniques on choosing, writing, explaining, reading and discussing poems.

This inspiring day is a must for all English teachers. It is open to both primary and secondary schools. The conference costs £82.25 (£70 + VAT) - which includes lunch and resources. We expect demand for this conference to be high. For a booking form please click here
