In 'Gore blimey, Johnny' (Review, last week), the 'short-lived 1990 London production' of Sondheim's musical, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with Denis Quilley in the title role, actually opened on 2 July 1980 and closed after 157 performances. Anthony Hope is Todd's young companion, not 'Frank' and the film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, is actually the sixth time they have collaborated, not the fifth.

'Gaza: a brief history' (World News, last week) described the Gaza Strip as having 'one of the world's highest population densities', claiming just under two million people lived there. However, the CIA World Factbook gave the figure as 1,482,405 in July last year.

An error introduced at the editing stage led to our describing Veronica Lario as Silvio Berlusconi's first wife (The Berlusconi Lowdown, last week). He was married for 20 years to Carla Elvira Dall'Oglio before his marriage to Veronica.

We mistakenly identified Guinea as Equatorial Guinea in a map headlined 'Twelve months across the world' (Review, 20 January).

'OFM's top 40 eco foodies' (Observer Food Monthly, No. 82, last week) described Mike Small, creator of the Fife Diet, as a 'writer from Burntisland on the island of Fife'. No man is an island - and neither is Fife.
