Joanna Cochrane

Art Director, Observer Magazine

Jo is currently the art director of The Observer Magazine. Previously, she was an art director at The Guardian for 15 years and was involved in several major redesigns across the newspaper. She has also worked at a senior level for Associated Newspapers, launched an interiors magazine for The Sunday Times and was at The Observer newspaper for five years, during which time she helped launch The Observer Music Monthly magazine and was instrumental in developing a new identity for The Observer when it converted to the Berliner format. During the course of her career she has also been involved with many other titles including The Sunday Telegraph Magazine, Vogue, Elle Decoration and Men's Health.
