Katherine joined the Observer in 1997. She has worked as a feature writer, book serialiser, reviewer and sub-editor for titles including the Guardian, Telegraph, Spectator and Mail. A former head of accreditation and examiner for the NCTJ, she is deputy chair of the Shine Media Awards, a nationwide competition celebrating journalism in schools. She is a trustee of the Stationers’ Foundation, supporting young people entering the content and communications industries.
