During 2020’s Covid-19 lockdowns, Devon-based photographer Brendan Barry started picking wild flowers while out on daily walks with his daughter. Then, after arranging them in vases, Barry photographed them in the darkroom he’d built in his shed.
The vivid, almost painterly images are collated in his new book, Flowers For Bea. “These photographs are symbols of fragility, resilience and growth,” Barry says. “This book serves as a visual meditation on how nature can heal, transform and provide meaning in times of uncertainty.”
