Popstar Taylor Swift and American football player Travis Kelce are expected to get married this weekend at New York’s Madison Square Garden. This is America’s version of a royal wedding. Swift, who is known for teasing album releases, has tried to keep the specifics a secret, but sleuths have managed to establish most of the details. Members of Travis Kelce’s NFL team have reportedly booked hotel rooms near the arena, and an event company has filed a permit to close nearby streets. Perhaps the biggest clue came when the New York Times obtained a police memo entitled “Taylor Swift wedding at Madison Square Garden”. Celebrities have developed a habit of shutting down cities for their nuptials, but New York has not seen a backlash like the one against Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’s wedding last year in Venice.
