Set in the Warwickshire countryside, within easy reach of London, Oxford, Birmingham and Coventry, Compton Verney offers a cultural day out that feels a world away. At the heart of your visit is The Pattern of Life: Enid Marx and Modern British Design, a major exhibition exploring the influential patterns of Enid Marx and her creative community, and their impact on 20th-century British design. Best known for her London Underground moquette fabric and children’s book illustrations, Marx was also a prolific designer of hand block-printed textiles and woven fabrics. Featuring major loans from the V&A and other national collections, the exhibition traces Marx’s life through fabric, pattern and print.

Offer valid for 2-for-1 standard day admission to Compton Verney during the run of The Pattern of Life: Enid Marx and Modern British Design, from Saturday 18 July 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.

Valid on standard open days only. Compton Verney is open Wednesday to Sunday, plus Bank Holiday Mondays. Grounds are open 10am–5pm and galleries 10.30am–5pm. This may vary over winter. Compton Verney is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, except Bank Holiday Mondays.

Tickets must be booked in advance using the dedicated Observer Culture Club promotional code.

The offer cannot be redeemed on the door.

For bookings of two people, the lowest-priced standard admission ticket will be free.

Solo visitors may instead use the offer to receive 50% off one standard admission ticket.

One 2-for-1 offer per booking.
