Free tickets to 5x15 in June for Observer subscribers
A limited number of free tickets are available for two events in June from 5x15 — the acclaimed talks series bringing some of the world’s most engaging writers and thinkers to the stage, for evenings of ideas, storytelling, and inspiration.Â
On Monday 22 June, five of today’s most compelling historians come together for a special evening at the Union Chapel. The 5x15 format is simple: five speakers, each with fifteen minutes to change the way we see the past. William Dalrymple, Alice Loxton, Peter Frankopan, Gary Younge and Kate Williams will each take to the stage for 15 minutes to bring one extraordinary episode from history vividly to life.Â
On Monday 29 June, 5x15 brings another stellar line-up to The Tabernacle in Notting Hill. Speakers include award-winning historian Andrea Wulf, economist and broadcaster Tim Harford, writer Jack Parlett, historian Juliet Nicolson and journalist and novelist Erica Wagner, each delivering a 15-minute talk packed with insight, wit and inspiration. From revolutionary thinkers and cautionary tales, to flamboyance, fiction and the secrets women keep, the evening promises a signature 5x15 mix of big ideas and unforgettable storytelling.
