The UK’s counter-terror police are investigating an arson attack on four ambulances belonging to a Jewish community charity in north London. Hatzola is a volunteer service offering rapid emergency care that is compliant with Jewish law and caters to Yiddish-speaking households. Responding to thousands of calls every year, it also treats non-Jews in the area. Police are treating Monday morning’s attack in Golders Green, which appears to have been caught on camera, as an antisemitic hate crime. An Iran-aligned militant network has claimed responsibility for the arson, but this has not been independently verified. The group previously claimed it was behind attacks on Jewish sites across Europe.
