Counter terrorism police are investigating whether Iran is linked to a wave of arson attacks against Jewish sites in London. A synagogue in Harrow was hit by a firebomb on Saturday night. The incident came a day after another attack targeted an office in Hendon that used to belong to Jewish Futures, an educational charity, and which is about a mile from the site where four community ambulances belonging to another Jewish organisation were recently set ablaze in Golders Green. On Friday several items, including two jars containing powdered substances, were also found outside the Israeli embassy. An Iran-linked Islamist group has claimed responsibility for several of the attacks on social media. The connection has not been confirmed, but Iran has a history of espionage activities on British soil.
