‘Hope is extinguished’: CBD patients respond to Salt Path allegations

The Salt Path tells the story of how its author Raynor Winn and her husband Moth walked over 600 miles, days after Moth was diagnosed with a rare and terminal brain disease. That walk, the story goes, stalled the progress of the condition known as corticobasal degeneration. It's a story that gave hope to patients like John, facing the same cruel diagnosis. But John's doctor says exercise cannot impact CBD – and that he's never heard of a patient surviving longer than 12 years. He's one of 10 experts who have expressed surprise at the presentation of Moth's condition in the best-selling memoir. And for John, hope has now turned to anger.
