What does Lily Allen carry in her handbag? A question I’m sure many of us want answered. A pair of headphones? A strawberry vape? The butt-plug-shaped MP3 drive she’s currently selling as merch on her UK tour? Sadly we can’t say, but we can tell you which roomy, on-trend bag she’s using to carry all those everyday essentials. Alongside supermodel Bella Hadid and Iris Law, our West End Girl has been papped carrying Dune London’s Deliberate bag (pictured, top), a woven tote that retails for £129 and which, the brand reports, sells once every 15 minutes online. In the world of luxury, the bag’s style is associated with the Italian fashion house, Bottega Veneta, whose Intrecciato (woven) bag is a firm favourite among A-listers, seen slung over the shoulder of Jacob Elordi and Olivia Dean. The style can be traced back to an early sack bag from the 1970s, designed by Bottega Veneta co-founder Renzo Zengiaro.
Hand-held bags can often feel rigid and lack practicality. This style offers as much space as your everyday canvas tote, but with a much more relaxed, fluid form that contours the body. The cherry on top? The accessory can weave its way into your wardrobe no matter your budget.
