The good news! Berenjak has opened a third London site in Mayfair. No longer will you have to scour the reservations page of the original Soho branch, hoping to secure a booking that isn’t a 2.15pm lunch (if you’re lucky). Berenjak Mayfair is bigger in both seating and menu, and more glamorous – stained glass, low lighting, dark wood, velvet banquettes.
The bad news! It’s immediately popular, meaning your dinner will likely still require careful planning. But then chef Kian Samyani’s take on the kebab shops of Tehran and his family’s home cooking deserves the consideration.
