A BBC investigation has suggested that Russia was behind last year’s arson attacks against Keir Starmer. Two men, a Ukrainian national and Ukrainian-born Romanian national, were convicted on Monday of conspiring to commit arson by targeting property and a car connected to the prime minister. A third man was found not guilty. But the person alleged to have ordered the attacks was a Russian-speaking Telegram user, “El Money”. The BBC has presented evidence that links El Money with Evgeny Lyukshin, the 23-year-old son of a senior Russian diplomat. Lyukshin, who has links to Rybar, a state media organisation, did not respond to the allegations.
